FAQ

Questions and answers

Is a rental agreement in English valid in Poland?

The parties may conclude an agreement in any language, but a bilingual agreement should state which version prevails. Our template states that the Polish version is binding and the English one is for reference only.

Is the English version a sworn translation?

No. It is a careful working translation that helps you understand the agreement. If an office, bank or employer requires a sworn translation, order one based on the Polish version.

Will my university or the immigration office accept this agreement?

A rental agreement is a standard proof of address – for address registration (meldunek), a residence card application or university enrolment. Requirements depend on the institution, so check with it directly.

How should rent payments from abroad be described?

State the rent in złoty, the bank account number in IBAN format and the payment day. The generator writes into the agreement that the payment date is the day the account is credited – an important detail for international transfers.
