Real accounts
Only logged-in users with a confirmed email address can send messages on Flats.
No fees for tenants
Flats never asks tenants for a fee for contact, a reservation or “access to a listing”.
Report a suspicious listing
Every listing has a report button. We review reports and remove listings that break the rules.
How to spot a scam
Never pay anything before you have seen the flat.
- Do not pay a deposit or a “reservation” for a flat you have not seen in person.
- Be careful when the price is much lower than similar listings nearby and the owner is “abroad”.
- Before signing, ask for a document proving the right to the flat, for example the land and mortgage register number (księga wieczysta).
- Pay the deposit by bank transfer, when signing the lease, and write its amount into the lease.

Frequently asked questions from tenants
Do I pay anything to use Flats?
No. Search, your profile, messages, alerts and booking viewings are free for tenants. You also pay no commission, because you rent directly from the owner.
Will the owner see my budget?
No. Your budget is private and only used to match listings. The owner sees, among other things, your name, description, number of people, move-in date and verification badges.
Why do I need a tenant profile?
So you do not write the same thing in every message. You fill in the profile once, and the owner receives it with your enquiry or application. Specific enquiries get answers faster.
How do I book a viewing?
On the listing page, choose up to three times in 15-minute slots. The owner confirms one of them or suggests another. You can add the confirmed viewing to your calendar and you will see it in the message thread.
What should I do if someone asks for a deposit before the viewing?
Do not pay. A request for money before you see the flat is the most common scam pattern. Report the listing with the report button and we will review it.
Do I need an account to search?
No. You can browse listings without an account. An account is needed to write to an owner, save a search with an alert or book a viewing.
